RCL's First Biofuel Supply Milestone
October 19 2025
Regional Container Lines Public Company Limited (RCL) marked a significant milestone in its commitment to Sustainability and Alternative Fuel Solutions with the first-ever sailing using biofuel.

On 19 October 2025, RCL's vessel M.V. Piya Bhum, set sail for the first time on biofuel, B24-VLSFO (Bio Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil), departing from Laem Chabang port to Ho Chi Minh City. The 1,707 TEU capacity vessel is on its journey on RCL's RSK2, RCL South China-Sihanoukville service route, connecting ports in China, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
